Our 2012 NFL Picks

The 2012 National Football League season is almost here. In fact, we’re less than 24 hours away from the opening kickoff.

This year on The Huddle, we want to help you make money. Whether it’s a Sport Select ticket or your next trip to Vegas or an afternoon on Bet365.com, we have the perfect answer to you weekly NFL questions.

No wonder he’s happy. He’s Dr. Football.

We have Dr. Football and The Coach.

Every week the Coach and the Doc will bring you our pre-game prognostications, better known as “Our Weekly Picks” and while I can’t guarantee we’ll pick every game correctly (heck, on most cases we won’t even pick the same outcome), but I can guarantee you will get the information you require to win an argument at work or at school.

So join us every week right here at The Huddle and start making money.

With 13 games on Sunday and two more on Monday, we will have all of our picks for Week 1 on Friday, but as a special introductory offer, here is our choice for Game 1 on Wednesday night. Oh yeah, the 2012 NFL regular season opens Wednesday night as the Dallas Cowboys face the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in New York: 7:30 CDT on NBC and TSN.

By the way, the Doc does the writing. The Coach just makes pithy and sometimes snippy remarks.

2012 NFL Opening Kickoff

Dallas Cowboys (0-0) at New York Giants (0-0)
Line: Giants by 4.

NFL opening night is going to be rocking in a big way with the Cowboys heading to New York. These two NFC East foes absolutely hate one another so the Doc expects nothing short of a bloodbath, but a game the Giants will dominate.  As the Coach wrote earlier this week, Eli Manning and the Giants come in with a belief that they can win every game and that will make them a better team. With Victor Cruz, Ahmad Bradshaw and Hakeem Nicks, Manning has skilled players around him who know how to win. Knowing how to win is half the battle.

Coach says, “Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck, and Jason Pierre-Paul will be on top of Tony Romo so fast and so often that he’ll be in the fetal position by the third quarter.”

This one won’t be close.

DR. FOOTBALL: GIANTS TO WIN AND COVER.

THE COACH: GIANTS TO WIN AND COVER

Tony! Look out!!!
