    Browns Joe Thomas Blasts Goodell for Brady Suspension

    Cleveland Browns All-Pro left tackle Joe Thomas has joined other members of the NFL Players Association and mounted a fierce public critique of commissioner Roger Goodell. Thomas is not only upset about the four-game suspension handed to New England QB Tom Brady, but Thomas also said that Goodell is “turning the NFL into the WWE.” Thomas said Goodell’s actions were “brilliant,” but also made it clear that it probably wasn’t Goodell’s intent and that he was starting to act like Vince McMahon.

    Nelson Out for Season. Vikes Zimmer Should Play No Starters

    The Minnesota Vikings have two pre-season games remaining this summer. Head coach Mike Zimmer should play no starters. None. Not one. He’s already lost right offensive tackle Phil Loadholt and the right side of his O-line had some issues against Oakland on Saturday night. Now comes news that arch-rival Green Bay has an even bigger problem. QB Aaron Rodgers’ favorite receiver, Jordy Nelson, will likely be lost for the season with a torn ACL.

    So the Minnesota Vikings won another meaningless game, this time 26-16 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Trouble is, it appears as if their right offensive tackle, Phil Loadholt, is done for the season.
